25th Aug 09, Exciting new flavours added to our Homemade, quarter pound burger collection this week. All hand made using our own meat. 26th Sept 09, We have had some new arrivals on the farm this week. 3 Kune Kune Pigs. A little boy and 2 girls. They are absolutely delightful but need names. So let us know if you have any ideas. They will remain as pets, in the paddock surrounding the farm shop. We also have some new rare breed chickens wandering around the farm yard. 17th Sept 09, This week sees the launch of our fresh fruit and vegetable side to the business. Our customers have been asking for this for a long time and we have finally managed to source a local farm over in Southwell who have made supplying fruit and vegetables their business for the last 20 years. We believe their ethos replicates our way of thinking. They are a family business passionate about selling their own produce when ever possible. They even encourage allotment growers to take their produce to the farm. With the necessity for a full product range all year round sourcing throughout the country and sometimes internationally often applies but they endeavour to reduce food miles where ever possible without compromising on the standard of produce. This week our cooking apples, bunched carrots, beetroot, parsley,broccoli and cauliflowers are from Southwell, cabbages, parsnips and leeks from Lincoln and rhubarb from Kirklington. 7th Sept 09, We have added a new range of delicious flavours to our sausage collection. All hand made with our own meat.Boerewors – A South African farmer’s sausage flavoured with chilli, nutmeg, black pepper and corianderPolish Sausage – A traditional polish style sausage with a hint of mustard with ground rice, white pepper, nutmeg, marjoram & garlic. An excellent combination of tasty flavours.Caramelised red onion – A traditional pork sausage with the added sweetness of caramelised red onions

GAME SEASON The Game Season is well and truly upon us. We now have fresh pheasants, partridges and venison available. For those less familiar with cooking game we have lots of recipe booklets available in the Farm Shop. Alternatively visit www. gameto eat.co.uk for lots of mouth watering recipes. SEASONAL FRESH FRUIT & VEGETABLES This week sees the arrival of British brussels also locally grown (Kirklington) pumpkins in readiness for Halloween. We have locally grown celeriac, butternut squash, leeks, cauliflowers and parsnips plus lots more including tasty British Cox and Bramley apples. We also took our first delivery of chestnuts last week (Christmas can't be far away!).

Our 3 Little Pigs have names Our Kune Kune Pigs finally have names! Hannah and Katie Bramley (Age 11 and 8) from Tollerton chose the winning entry, Snuffle Puffle and Truffle Thank you to everyone who sent in a suggestion. We had so many ideas it was difficult to choose between them all. Another firm favourite was Simon, Cheryl and Louis because one customer thought they had the ‘X Factor’ Let’s hope we soon have some piglets to name!!

We are delighted to announce that our pet kune kune pigs, who joined us in October last year, have given birth. Snuffle produced 3 piglets and Puffle produced 4 piglets . They have taken to motherhood really well. We are keeping them in one of the stables for the time being but hope to have them on show very soon.

Our Aviary is now complete and housing a mixed variety of birds including golden pheasants, bull finch, quail and cockatiels. They have all settled in extremely well, so much so, that the pheasants and quail have already started laying eggs. Come and take a look. 'Patch', one of this year's lambs can be seen in the paddock surrounding the shop.
