©Copyright - Harker’s Farm Shop 2009 Fruit and Veg September 09 saw the launch of our fresh fruit and vegetable side to the business. Our customers have been asking for this for a long time and we have finally managed to source a local farm over in Southwell who have made supplying fruit and vegetables their business for the last 20 years. We believe their ethos replicates our way of thinking. They are a family business passionate about selling their own produce when ever possible. They even encourage allotment growers to take their produce to the farm. With the necessity for a full product range all year round sourcing throughout the country and sometimes internationally often applies but they endeavour to reduce food miles where ever possible without compromising on the standard of produce. The 1st of May saw the start of the British Asparagus Season, which runs for around 8 weeks, until the end of June. We have fresh asparagus tips available which have been grown locally for us in Kirklingon.
